Unlikley Best Friends

So before I start, I apologize. I should never be allowed to write a meaningful blog because I am a terrible writer so forgive me in advance for this horrific masterpiece and mistakes. Also, do not compare this to Ava's writing because you will just cause yourself further distress because I cannot write. Moving along.

Dear Ava,
As your best friend, I know more about you than any other human does or probably should know. And because of that you better love me and this blog because I have blackmail on you. If you aren't laughing then you should be because you that was a joke and you have blackmail on me to so...um. Yeah. *Laughs nervously*(Inside joke between Ava and I). 😁😅

I also know that you have some days where you question your worth, your abilities, you are overcome by anxiety, or you just feel blah. I have known you for several years know and I have probably spent more time with you then I have with most of my family. Even after all this time, I still wonder why you do this? Me and many others think you are worth so much more and love you more than you could possibly ever fathom. We love your great since of humor, your smile, your determination, your stubbornness, your obsessive love of coffee and animals(you are such a typical white girl 😉), and for being YOURSELF! You are loved for many reasons other than these but those were the ones that stood out to me. You have planted a special seed in oodles of people's hearts(Indeed. I did use the word oodles). That list includes friends, family, and even people that barely know you. I also know you so well that I know that you are thinking that I am full of it... To prove my point on how much you mean to people and how much your presence is enjoyed, I had a couple of friends help me out. ☺️❤️

Tori Wofford: Ava idk where to even begin. It's only been a little over a year since I have known you, but I sure do remember the first time I met you. You had like every color in your hair and you were riding Mister up from the field. All I was thinking to myself was wow that's a lot of color in her hair, but dang I wish I could pull it off like she can. After that day of talking to you, I knew that you were something else. As the days and this little over a year has gone by, we have became closer friends. I love all the crazy things about you. Yes, I still love you and how crazy you are about snakes. Claire Profilet: What I really love about Ava is her spirit. I know that she's not the bubbliest human being (not that I'm even close to that title either), but she's got the spunk and passion that I know will get her through anything. I'm going to sound really old saying this, but I can't wait to see what she does with herself through and after college, because I know she's capable of some really amazing things if she gets set on it. Katherine Martin: Oh Ava, You are my favorite strange child! I remember when we first met.. You were the other girl that rode the big, handsome, couch-sized pony that I loved. And I was so incredibly jealous. We met at the Halloween party and everyone was in the field, running around with glow sticks. You were breaking them open and putting the liquid on your face and on your leather jacket. We really didn't become friends or even talk much until something tragic happened. We both got that call on that Thursday that our white, yet always dirty, lovable goofball had an accident that morning. Sadly, no one could save our precious dork. I remember seeing you laying on his neck as I came down the hill. You had already cried all the tears you could and you started braiding his mane. I remember finally having a connection to you. We conversed about the funny things he used to do when we would ride him, trying to lift each others spirits.I realized how petty I was for not liking you, simply because you were also attached to that hunk of love, Gamblers Choice. Anyways! Moving on.. It's been a reward to be friends with you over these few years. I found that your weirdness worked well with mine and Liz's. The dry, corny humor makes my day every time. You are so wise compared to most. Especially for your age. You are very comfortable being the person you are and I will tell you it takes most humans getting out of high school or college to find themselves and show it off to the world without shame. So I'm glad you found your voice this early in the game. And people do admire you for that! You also have a love and tender heart and it glows very brightly. Keep it that way. Never let anyone tell you that it is a bad that. Having a soft heart in a cruel world is strength! Never let anyone dull your unique sparkle! and if they try I will punch them in the face :) You are absolutely brilliant, stunningly creative, seriously fabulous, and positively a beautiful girl. Jamey and Sandy: Everyone knows Ava's fun-loving and determinated side but on a cold, unfortunate night, Feb 28, we saw Ava's other side. She was very caring and compassionate as things progressed throughout the night from trying to calm the situation to just being there for people. She was making sure Sandy & myself were kept updated. She held hands, she offered up tissues, comforted others, gave needed hugs, and the whole time she was trying to stay warm in the frigid air and stay strong for her best friend. We love Ava!!!
Kathleen Walker: I love Ava because she's really good at making people laugh. I love Ava because of all the weird stories she tells in our group-chat. I love Ava because she is always willing to help me(especially when it has to do with ponies). I love Ava because she understands my sarcasm. I love Ava because she's an awesome rider. Liz: When I first met you, back in 2013, you were were riding Dicey. You had a blue helmet on with long, curly locks sticking out from underneath and you were wearing that leather jacket of yours. All I remember thinking was that you were shy, different, and I gave your props for being able to ride such a bouncy and heavy horse. You stayed my acquaintance for several months until I met you again at the Halloween party. I decided there that I didn't like you because you were singing loudly as we were gallivanting through the fields. You decided you were afraid of me because I was shushing you just as loudly. Several days later Julianne, you, and I were watching Trey try to tackle a cross-rail on Pancho. Later on when I went and watched the videos I heard you singing in the background. I remember laughing for a while and then showing Katherine and then laughing some more. I decided that you weren't annoying anymore and that you were just different and funny. We didn't actually become friends until the unfortunate death of one large, beautiful soul named Dicey because Katherine and you had common ground. I remember feeling so very sorry for you and meeting your mom that night. We exchanged phone numbers and slowly started spending more time together around the barn. When you flash forward to today it is pretty insane how close we have become. You are probably one of my favorite humans. You are also one of the very few people that I completely trust and that I am completely open with. You provide corny jokes to laugh at and you are always willing to help me when I ask. You are also so very opinionated. Which makes you extremely hard-headed and stubborn but it also makes you, YOU. You have an adventurous soul which makes you even more fun to be around. You were with me in my happiest moments or you were the cause of them. You were by my side in situations that many people could not even begin to comprehend because you had also experienced it before. You also provided a safe place for me to cry when it was over. I am so unexplainably thankful that you were there and I plan on doing the same for you until you get so annoyed of me that you kill me. You are such a bright, caring, and magnificent human being. And you are basically my other half. Thank you for being one of a kind(bloody knuckles and cigarettes?[inside joke]) and for allowing me to call you my best friend. Your Madre: Happy Birthday my sweet Ava!!! It is so hard to believe you are 15 already! You have turned into a beautiful young woman and I am very proud of you and your determination. I have never seen someone get something in their mind and wholeheartedly go after that vision until you have accomplished exactly what you set out to do. You were making incredible costumes(Fresca) when you were 9, you taught yourself to lay the Ukulele and you have become quite the equestrian among other feats. Ava the Knight

Every I look at this photo I can't help but laugh because we were casually walking back to the barn from a nice little gallop and Ava just grabs this plant and pulls in straight out of the ground. I'm pretty sure I almost peed myself I was laughing so hard. Then she proceeds to keep it even after we got off and put our horses back out.
